Down on the farm, Jason Berken allowed three runs and six hits in 5 2/3 innings for Triple-A Norfolk, with one walk, six strikeouts, one wild pitch and one hit batter. He threw 93 pitches, 63 for strikes.
Miguel Tejada, starting again at third base, was 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in his first four plate appearances. He’s batting .400 with two RBIs in three games.
Both catchers on the Tides’ roster, Ronnie Paulino and Chris Robinson, had triples last night. Can’t imagine that’s happened very often.
