The Orioles close out their homestand today before heading to the West Coast, where they’ll play the Mariners, Dodgers and Angels.
Jeremiah Jackson is in the lineup for the first time since May 30, starting at second base. Blaze Alexander is at third.
Adley Rutschman is the designated hitter. Colton Cowser is in center field, with Leody Taveras in right.
Pete Alonso has homered in three of his last four games and his batting .326/.407/.674 with five homers and 12 RBIs this month.
Of Alonso’s 16 home runs this season, nine of them have been hit to the opposite field.
Left-hander Trevor Rogers has a 6.15 ERA in 12 starts. He’s allowed four runs this month in 11 1/3 innings.
Left-handed hitters are slashing .214/.286/.375 against Rogers and right-handers are slashing .305/.355/.503. Rogers is holding left-handers to a .167 average with his fastball, compared to .310 by right-handers.
Rogers has made two career starts against San Diego and allowed one run and 11 hits in 10 1/3 innings. Manny Machado, who homered yesterday, is 3-for-6.

The Orioles are 34-38 and two games back in the Wild Card. They’re a half-game out of third place.
Right-hander Walker Buehler has a 4.33 ERA in 13 starts in his first season with the Padres. He’s surrendered only four home runs in 62 1/3 innings.
Buehler has allowed two runs this month in 10 2/3 innings, and four runs over 16 innings in his last three starts. He’s made four career starts against the Orioles and posted a 2.61 ERA in 20 2/3 innings.
Alonso is 5-for-17 with four home runs against Buehler.
Buehler is holding opponents to a .031 average with his slider this season, compared to .311 in 2025.
Gavin Sheets is batting .289 on the road and .175 at home.
