The Athletics switched starters for today. They recalled rookie right-hander Daniel Gossett from Triple-A Nashville and are giving him the ball instead of left-hander Sean Manaea.

Gossett is 3-6 with a 5.17 ERA in 10 starts with the A’s before they optioned him on Aug. 3. Tim Beckham is the only Oriole who’s faced Gossett, going 0-for-2 with two strikeouts.
