Blue Jays rookie right-hander Trent Thornton is 5-9 with a 5.04 ERA and 1.457 WHIP in 29 games (28 starts). He’s allowed 23 home runs in 139 1/3 innings.

Thornton pitched at Camden Yards on June 11 and allowed three runs and seven hits in five innings. He shut out the Orioles on three hits over six innings on July 7 in Toronto and held them to one run over six innings on Aug. 1 in Baltimore.

Davis is 4-for-5 with a double and walk against him.
