Jorge López faced the Indians on June 6 in Baltimore and allowed three runs and four hits in five innings. He walked three batters and Amed Rosario hit a home run.
López has made 11 career appearances against the Indians, and only two starts, and allowed 18 earned runs (20 total) and 25 hits in 20 innings. He’s walked 12 batters.
The Orioles have lost seven games in a row and 18 straight on the road.
Who’s available in the Indians’ bullpen today? Feels like everyone has been used in all three games of the series.
James Karinchak and Emmanuel Clase actually have worked the eighth and ninth innings, respectively, on three consecutive nights. Bryan Shaw and Nick Sandlin have pitched in two of three games. Shaw needed 27 pitches last night to complete the seventh.
Eli Morgan is now listed as the Indians’ starter today instead of Triston McKenzie. Morgan, also a right-hander, made his major league debut on May 28 against the Blue Jays and surrendered six runs and eight hits in 2 2/3 innings.
The Indians drafted Morgan in the eighth round in 2017 out of Gonzaga University.
