The Orioles are 149-176 since interleague play started in 1997. They set a franchise record for wins last season while going 12-8.

Bud Norris is starting Game 1 of today’s doubleheader at Triple-A Norfolk. First pitch is slated for 5:05 p.m.

According to Elias, Steve Pearce is only the third Orioles in the last 10 seasons to hit a grand slam in the first inning, joining Melvin Mora (2006) and Ryan Flaherty (2012).

Manager Buck Showalter is (1,277) is four wins away from tying Whitey Herzog (1,281) for 35th on the all-time list. Frank Selee (1,284) is 34th.
