The Orioles posted their lineup for tonight’s series opener against the Nationals in D.C. and didn’t announce a roster move.

Ramón Urías left Chicago in concussion protocol after being hit in the head Saturday. His condition had improved the following day, and manager Brandon Hyde will provide another update later today to the assembled media.

Ryan O’Hearn is batting ninth and playing first base in another new lineup from Hyde. Ryan Mountcastle is the designated hitter.

Adam Frazier moves up to fifth in the order. Gunnar Henderson is playing third base and batting seventh.

Dean Kremer is making his fourth start tonight. He’s allowed 13 runs and 16 hits with six walks in 12 1/3 innings. He’s also surrendered five home runs.

Kremer’s only start against the Nationals was Sept. 13 in D.C., when he allowed three runs and eight hits in five innings.

The Orioles lead the majors with a .357 on-base percentage.

The Orioles are 51-39 against the Nationals since 2005. The last three series in D.C. have ended in sweeps – favoring the Orioles in 2020 and 2022.

The Nationals are starting right-hander Josiah Gray, a former second-round draft pick of the Reds who’s been traded twice in mega-deals. He accompanied Homer Bailey and Jeter Downs to the Dodgers in December 2018 for Yasiel Puig, Matt Kemp, Kyle Farmer and Alex Wood, and was included with Keibert Ruiz, Gerardo Carrillo and Donovan Casey in the return for Max Scherzer and Trea Turner.

Gray is 0-3 with a 4.32 ERA and 1.440 WHIP this year in three starts. He’s allowed eight runs and 19 hits in 16 2/3 innings.

Gray’s 38 home runs allowed last year led the majors, and his 66 walks ranked first in the National League.

The Orioles have never faced Gray, who’s the first pitcher to get zero run support while pitching at least five innings in each of his first three games of a season since Marcus Stroman in 2019, according to STATS. The last pitcher to have four straight games to start a season is Dustin Moseley in 2011.

The Nationals’ last eight games have been decided by two runs or fewer, their longest streak since 2012.
