Odúbel Herrera is 6-for-14 (.429) with two home runs lifetime against Cashner. César Hernández is 5-for-11 (.455) with a triple. Maikel Franco is 2-for-11 (.182).

The Phillies are starting right-hander Nick Pivetta, a former fourth-round pick of the Nationals who was acquired for closer Jonathan Papelbon. He’s 2-2 with a 4.15 ERA and 1.256 WHIP in eight starts and is averaging 9.7 strikeouts per nine innings.

Left-handers are hitting .310 against Pivetta and right-handers are hitting .221.

Peterson is the only current Oriole to face Pivetta, collecting a single and walk in two plate appearances.

According to STATS, the Orioles on Sunday were the fourth team in major league history with a winning percentage of .300 or below to win a game by 15 or more runs. The last team to do it was the Indians, who were 3-8 on April 18, 2009 when they defeated the Yankees 22-4.
