DJ Stewart is playing right field and batting sixth against Tigers left-hander Matthew Boyd on the day that the Orioles recalled him from Triple-A Norfolk.

Renato Núñez is batting cleanup again after hitting his team-leading 13th home run yesterday. He’s 9-for-22 with five home runs and 11 RBIs during a six-game hitting streak that’s one short of his career high. Núñez has recorded an RBI in a career-high six consecutive games.
Jonathan Villar’s 456-foot home run yesterday was the longest of his career.
Dylan Bundy has made only two career appearances against the Tigers and allowed six runs and eight hits in 7 1/3 innings.
Boyd has a 3.11 ERA and 1.005 WHIP in 11 starts this season. He’s averaging 1.9 walks and 10.8 strikeouts per nine innings.
Boyd’s made three career starts against the Orioles and 11 runs and 15 hits with nine walks and 13 strikeouts in 13 innings.

The Orioles have signed 20-year-old Cuban infielder Yorkislandy Ãlvarez, according to Francys Romero of Las Mayores.
Ãlvarez left the Cuban U-18 team in 2017 and relocated to Costa Rica and later the Dominican Republic.
