Pitcher Saulo Alcantara, a right-hander from the Orioles’ Dominican Summer League team, has been suspended 50 games for violating minor league baseball’s Drug Prevention and Treatment program.
Alcantara, signed as a non-drafted free agent in 2009, is 1-2 with a 2.77 ERA in 11 games this season. He went 1-1 with a 5.27 ERA last season in the Dominican.
Single-A Frederick pitcher Brian Parker received a 50-game suspension last summer.

Update: It keeps getting better.
Triple-A Norfolk’s Michael Aubrey hit a grand slam tonight, giving him three homers in the last three games and five in the last six. He’s knocked in 15 runs in the last seven games. He’s batting .235 with 12 homers and 37 RBIs.
