The Orioles have reinstated Matt Wieters from the paternity list after he and his wife Maria welcomed the birth of their second son, Micah, on Saturday night.
To make room for Wieters, the Orioles have optioned Caleb Joseph to Triple-A Norfolk, meaning Francisco Pena stays with the big league club.

To make room for Wieters, the Orioles have optioned Caleb Joseph to Triple-A Norfolk, meaning Francisco Pena stays with the big league club.
Joseph doesn’t have an RBI this year with the Orioles, while hitting .193 with two doubles and six runs scored over 40 games. But he will return when the September rosters expand at the latest.
Pena, the son of Yankees first base coach Tony Pena, has three RBIs and a home run while batting .222 in 11 games with the Orioles this season. He had a single in yesterday’s 5-3 loss to the Astros.
