The Orioles today announced that they have optioned right-hander Jorge Rondon to Triple-A Norfolk.
Rondon, 27, allowed one run over 4.0 innings in two outings after being recalled from the Tides on August 24. In three games with the Orioles this season since being claimed off waivers from the Colorado Rockies on May 10, Rondon has posted a 1.23 ERA (7.1IP, ER) while striking out three and walking one.
