The Orioles announced today that they reinstated right-hander Eric Beaulac from the 15-day disabled list and outrighted him to Triple-A Norfolk.
Beaulac, 26, had his contract selected from Double-A Bowie on Sept. 1 and immediately was placed on the disabled list with a torn labrum in his right hip. The Orioles added him to the 40-man roster in case they made the playoffs, which would have enabled them to replace him with someone else past the deadline for setting 25-man rosters.

Beaulac appeared in 12 games for Single-A Frederick and Double-A Bowie this year, going 1-0 with a 1.96 ERA in 18 1/3 innings.
In six minor league seasons in the Mets and Orioles organizations, Beaulac has gone 21-21 with a 3.40 ERA over 117 games (52 starts) and 365 1/3 innings.
The most interesting aspect of today’s move is it frees up a spot on the 40-man roster.
