The Orioles today announced that they have placed left-hander Wesley Wright on the 15-day Disabled List with a left trapezius strain. In a corresponding move, the Orioles have recalled right-hander Eddie Gamboa from Triple-A Norfolk. He will wear uniform number 68. Wright, 30, posted a 5.40 ERA (1.2IP, ER) over two appearances with the Orioles this season. Signed as a free agent on December 19, 2014, Wright has gone 10-18 with a 4.18 ERA (301.1IP, 140ER) over 362 career Major League games. …

Gamboa, 30, went 42-41 with a 3.44 ERA (693.0IP, 265ER) over 183 career games (91 starts) in the minors. Gamboa split the 2014 season with Double-A Bowie and Triple-A Norfolk, posting a combined 3.81 ERA (108.2IP, 46ER).
