The Orioles have officially released their 2010 Orioles Pet Calendar, featuring your favorite Orioles pictured with their pets.
Most players posed with a dog or two, and the variety of breeds ranges from bull dogs to weimaraners.
The Maryland SPCA helped the Orioles, the Orioles wives and OriolesREACH complete the project by providing pets for players who couldn’t bring in a four-legged friend of their own.

The Maryland SPCA helped the Orioles, the Orioles wives and OriolesREACH complete the project by providing pets for players who couldn’t bring in a four-legged friend of their own.
O’s like Nick Markakis and Brian Roberts brought in their own much loved dogs, pets many Orioles fans might have heard about before this calendar’s release. Nick told Orioles Magazine that when he’s bored, he plays with his two dogs, and fans of Brian’s weekly video blog surely remember all the talk of his “crazy dog Rocky”.
So if you’ve been hoping to put (an admittedly homely) face with a name, here’s your chance to see the so-ugly-he’s-cute Rocky Roberts.
Other O’s like Koji, Guthrie, Jones and Reimold posed with pooches courtesy of the Maryland SPCA.
The pet calendar is a 16-month calendar that spans from September 2009 to December 2010–so you won’t have to wait until the New Year turns over to enjoy your favorite Orioles with their furry friends.
Calendars are $15 and proceeds benefit the Maryland SPCA and the work the organization does with local homeless pets.

I’m also throwing in these photos (as usual, courtesy of Orioles Team Photographer Todd Olszewski) of Matt Wieters and Rich Hill with a couple of cats, just in case you’re not a dog lover. I’ll leave you to comment further on these…
