The Orioles today announced that they have selected the contract of right-hander Ramon Ramirez from Triple-A Norfolk and optioned right-hander Evan Meek to the Tides.
Ramirez, 32, has pitched 8.0 scoreless innings for the Tides in five relief appearances this season, striking out 14 without allowing a walk.
