The Orioles today announced that they have selected the contract of RHP Steve Johnson and optioned him to Triple-A Norfolk.
Johnson, 24, is 1-3 with a 2.62 ERA (44.2IP, 13ER) in eight games (seven starts) for the Tides. Johnson was acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 30, 2009 with INF Josh Bell in exchange for LHP George Sherrill.
