The Orioles today announced plans for a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the 1966 World Series victory. To commemorate the 50th anniversary, the Orioles will wear 1966 replica throwback uniforms and will welcome back members of the 1966 World Series team on Friday, July 8, during a pregame ceremony when the Orioles host the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Oriole Park at 7:05 p.m. ET. All fans in attendance will receive a 1966 50th anniversary-themed Orioles T-shirt and will enjoy fireworks along with hit songs from 1966 following the game.

The Orioles will welcome 16 members of the 1966 World Series team, who will take part in an on-field ceremony prior to the 7:05 p.m. game. Expected to attend are National Baseball Hall of Famers and Orioles Legends Jim Palmer and Brooks Robinson, National Baseball Hall of Famer Luis Aparicio, Andy Etchebarren, Eddie Fisher, Dick Hall, Larry Haney, Bill Hunter, Bob Johnson, Davey Johnson, John Miller, Tom Phoebus, Boog Powell, Vic Roznovsky, Russ Snyder, and Eddie Watt.

The celebration will also include a luncheon presented by the Oriole Advocates on Friday, July 8, at noon in the Warehouse at Oriole Park to honor the 1966 World Championship team, featuring the returning Orioles players and coaches. The luncheon will include a silent auction, a raffle, door prizes, and a question and answer session with the players and coaches. Tickets for the luncheon are $100 with proceeds benefiting the Oriole Advocates Charitable Foundation. VIP tickets will also be available for $150 and include a pre-luncheon reception and a photo opportunity with the returning players. During that evening’s game, the Orioles will wear 1966 replica throwback uniforms featuring a patch celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1966 World Series victory. The Orioles replica throwback jerseys will be autographed, authenticated, and auctioned at orioles.com/auction to benefit the Orioles Charitable Foundation. The Orioles will also wear the 50th anniversary patch on July 5 and July 6 when the team visits the Los Angeles Dodgers in a rematch of the 1966 Fall Classic.

The Orioles will continue the 50th Anniversary celebration with a 1966 Jim Palmer replica jersey giveaway, presented by UMBC, for the first 20,000 fans 15 and over on July 24, when the Orioles host the Cleveland Indians at 1:35 p.m.
