The Orioles summer-long ‘Friday Fireworks & Music at America’s Ballpark’ series will wrap up tonight, with the final performance of the 2018 season. The season finale will feature singer, songwriter, and activist Tina Parol, who will debut her new single “Better Life” during the performance.
Parol, a first-generation American, was inspired to write “Better Life” as a love letter to her parents who came from Poland and sacrificed so much, just like many immigrants from all over the world who are part of America’s past, present, and future. The single was exclusively released as a music video on YouTube today.
After attending NYU’s Clive Davis Institute, Parol signed a record deal with Universal Motown, where she released her successful top 40 single, “Who’s Got Your Money” and began songwriting full-time. She has had multi-genre cuts with everyone from Britney Spears to redhot emerging artist Tenille Townes. Parol’s songs have been placed in hit shows on FOX, ESPN, Lifetime, MTV, NBC, CBS, and ABC, including two songs on the show “Nashville.” She is a member of the Disney Music Group, where she wrote the new global campaign song for Disney’s Dream Big Princess franchise performed by Auli’i Cravhalo of Disney’s “Moana.” Parol also serves on the Board of Directors for the Music Health Alliance, a nonprofit organization providing the music industry with healthcare advocacy through health insurance, healthcare resources, and guidance.
Throughout the summer, the Orioles invited fans to enjoy performances from a cross-section of emerging and established artists and a spectacular fireworks display on Friday evenings. Performers included Elle Winter, Jaden Michaels, Gracie Schram, Renee Blair Jenae Cherry Brach, and Carter Faith Jones.
