A portion of the money generated from FanFest ticket sales, as well as proceeds from silent auctions and sales of O’s memorabilia will be donated to the Haitian earthquake relief effort.
Collection buckets will also be placed at various locations throughout the Convention Center for fans who wish to join in the efforts with donations of their own. The Orioles will then match all donations collected.
Fans can also donate to the cause by mailing checks (payable to the Baltimore Orioles Charitable Foundation, with “Haiti Relief” in the memo line) to:
Baltimore Orioles Haiti Relief
333 West Camden Street
Baltimore, MD 21201
As if there wasn’t already reason enough to turn out at the Convention Center on Saturday, you can feel good about your weekend plans, knowing your support of the O’s will be appreciated by the team, while your FanFest dollars will be going to help the people of Haiti.
