DJ Stewart is in left field and Austin Wynns is catching.
Thomas Eshelman is making his second start after replacing Bruce Zimmermann in the rotation and holding the Blue Jays to one run and three hits in 4 2/3 innings. His only career appearance against the Astros came in relief, when he allowed one hit in two-thirds of an inning on Aug. 10, 2019.
The Orioles are 5-23 against the Astros since the beginning of the 2016 season and they haven’t won a series against them since May 2015 at Camden Yards.
Last night’s 3-1 loss dropped the Orioles to 0-27 when scoring two runs or fewer.
José Urquidy is making his 13th start tonight. He’s 5-3 with a 3.65 ERA and 1.000 WHIP in 69 innings.
Urquidy has completed seven innings in four starts, including his last two. Left-handers are batting .168/.225/.284 against him, and right-handers .250/.276/.482.
