Alex Cobb is 1-6 with a 7.32 ERA and 1.932 WHIP in eight starts. He’s allowed 67 hits in 39 1/3 innings.
Cobb is 9-4 with a 2.50 ERA and 0.987 WHIP in 16 interleague games, but he’s never faced the Nationals. Former Oriole Mark Reynolds is 0-for-9 with six strikeouts against him. Another former Oriole, Matt Wieters, is 2-for-7 with a home run and recovering from hamstring surgery.
Reynolds is 13-for-29 (.448) with five home runs since signing with the Nationals.
Gonzalez has registered a 2.38 ERA and 1.324 WHIP in 10 starts this season, with 15 earned runs, 49 hits and 26 walks over 56 2/3 innings. He’s surrendered only three home runs.
Gonzalez is 1-6 with a 4.40 ERA and 1.567 WHIP in 10 career starts against the Orioles and 1-3 with a 3.79 ERA and 1.474 WHIP in six career starts at Camden Yards.
Manny Machado is 4-for-13 with a double against Gonzalez and Danny Valencia is 3-for-9 with a double. Davis is 2-for-17 with five strikeouts, Jonathan Schoop is 2-for-11 with five strikeouts and Adam Jones is 6-for-29 with two doubles and a home run.
Left-hander Zac Lowther has, indeed, moved up from low Single-A Delmarva to high Single-A Frederick. Check this morning’s blog entry for more information on Lowther.

I’m taking the rest of the day off after my adventure flying home last night. My flight was cancelled, which I learned after coincidentally rushing onto an earlier flight that had been delayed. Otherwise, I would have spent the night in Tampa.
Steve Melewski will provide game updates on MASNsports.com.
