Over the last 16 games since May 18, the Orioles have recorded 12 hits or more nine times and are batting .295, the second-highest mark in the majors behind the Blue Jays (.297) before today. Their 87 runs over that span also trailed only Toronto (91).
The first-place Blue Jays beat the Tigers 7-3 today to complete their sweep at Comerica Park and increase their lead over the second-place Orioles to five games in the American League East.
The Orioles will attempt to match their season-long winning streak of five games before returning home.
