BOSTON – Jimmy Paredes is headed to Boston and will serve as the Orioles’ designated hitter for today’s game against the Red Sox.
Ryan Flaherty is starting at second base and Everth Cabrera is starting at shortstop.
Steve Pearce is playing right field today. He started off 3-for-7 with two home runs, but he’s mired in a 2-for-28 slump over his last seven games.
