NEW YORK – Orioles manager Buck Showalter has come down with the same stomach virus that’s sweeping through the clubhouse and he may not make it to Yankee Stadium for tonight’s game.
Bench coach John Russell would fill in for Showalter. He’s handling the media session later this afternoon.
Manny Machado will not start tonight, while Chris Davis and Matt Wieters remain out of the lineup. No word yet on whether Machado is also suffering from the stomach virus.

Tyler Wilson was removed from today’s start with Triple-A Norfolk after 3 2/3 innings and 56 pitches. He allowed two runs and six hits.
The Orioles may have shortened him up again to keep him available.
