Asher Wojciechowski has allowed nine runs and 11 hits in his last two starts over 11 innings. He was much better in his last outing, however, surrendering four runs to the Rays over seven frames.
Wojciechowski has walked one batter and struck out eight in his last two starts. He’s given up a home run in eight consecutive starts since blanking the Red Sox on one hit over 7 1/3 innings on July 21.
Today marks Wojciechowski’s first career game against the Rangers.
Left-hander Mike Minor is 12-8 with a 3.12 ERA and 1.189 WHIP in 28 starts this season. He shut out the Yankees over 7 1/3 innings in his last outing.
Minor shut out the Orioles over 5 2/3 innings on June 7, striking out seven batters. He owns a 2.89 ERA and 1.071 WHIP in 18 2/3 innings against them.
