The Tigers are starting Mike Fiers, one of the pitchers on the Orioles’ offseason radar. He’s 2-1 with a 3.71 ERA and 1.412 WHIP in 17 innings.
Fiers is 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA and 0.929 WHIP in two career starts against the Orioles, with only two runs allowed in 14 innings. He’s walked two batters and struck out 16.
Danny Valencia is 4-for-11 with two home runs against Fiers. Pedro Ãlvarez is 3-for-17 with two homers.
