Jimmy Paredes is batting second as the designated hitter. Chris Davis is starting at first base despite being 1-for-11 with eight strikeouts against Pineda. Travis Snider is in right field despite being 0-for-9 with five strikeouts.

Last night, Manny Machado became the sixth Orioles third baseman since 1954 to post three straight seasons with 10 or more home runs. Machado is the first since Melvin Mora in 2004-2008.
