The Orioles today announced that they have recalled RHP Brad Bergesen from Triple-A Norfolk. Bergesen will start today’s game against the Washington Nationals.
Bergesen, 24, was 3-4 with a 6.50 ERA (54.0IP, 39ER) in 12 games (10 starts) during two previous stints with the Orioles this season.
To make room for Bergesen on the roster, the Orioles placed OF Lou Montanez on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 21, with a strained left…OF Lou Montanez placed on 15-day disabled list.
