Starting with the 2015 season, fans will be able to hear all 162 regular season games, select spring training games and other Orioles programming on 105.7 The Fan and across the seven-state, 34-station Orioles Radio Network.
Joe Angel and Fred Manfra, returning for their 12th season together, will continue to call the games.
105.7 The Fan previously broadcast Orioles games from 2007-10. The Orioles signed a multi-year extension with WBAL 1090 AM before the 2014 season, but they exercised an opt-out clause in the contract.
“With a dedicated FM presence, a strong network of local CBS Radio stations, and an around-the-clock lineup of sports programming, 105.7 The Fan is the ideal flagship home for the Orioles Radio Network,” said Greg Bader, the Orioles vice president of communications and marketing. “Partnering with the region’s premiere radio destination for sports fans and CBS Radio’s powerful cluster of stations allows us to effectively reach our diverse fan base on a daily basis and to develop valuable multi-platform marketing opportunities for our sponsors.
“The Orioles thank WBAL Radio for their previous partnership and for the station’s role in documenting Orioles baseball through the years.”
“We are thrilled that the Baltimore Orioles are coming home to 105.7 The Fan,” said Bob Phillips, CBS Radio Baltimore’s senior vice president. “This partnership with the Orioles is a great addition to our market-leading No. 1 sports brand and platform in Baltimore.”
