But one Oriole we can always count on to be the voice of the team is the face of the franchise, the leader, the captain: Adam Jones.

As Jones arrived to Sarasota, Fla., he tweeted out a simple statement, one that could give chills to any O’s fan.

Jones is also offering Birdland the chance to see spring training, and everyday life, through his own eyes by joining Snapchat.

Alot has been said about Dexter Fowler choosing to re-sign with the Cubs after supposedly talking to Jones among reports that he had agreed to terms with the Orioles. But Jones tweeted out all that really needs to be said on the matter.

With Fowler heading back to Chicago, the Orioles are still looking for a right fielder. Hall of Famer and MASN analyst Jim Palmer voiced who he thinks will sneak into contention for the spot.

And you know it’s baseball season in Charm City when “SportsCenter” anchor and Maryland native Scott Van Pelt breaks out his Bawlmer accent to make his ESPN colleague and fellow Maryland native Tim Kurkjian literally crack up laughing.

“O’s, Strohs and Natty Bohs, hon” is my favorite SVP phrase in a Baltimore accent. Like Kurkjian, it gets me every time.
