Kevin Millwood has taken over the major league lead in home runs allowed with 18, including two today in the first inning.
Mets 5, Orioles 0.
The Mets sent nine batters to the plate and collected six hits and a walk. Henry Blanco did Millwood a huge favor by bouncing into a double play with runners on the corners, one out and Brad Bergesen warming in the Orioles’ bullpen.

If the Orioles were trying to work out a trade with the Mets, they might have lost some leverage.
David Wright hit a two-run homer off an 88 mph fastball, and Chris Carter drilled a three-run shot off an 86 mph fastball.
Carter has two career home runs, both in this series.
All he does is…
Never mind.
Millwood has lost his last seven decisions, the longest stretch of his career. He didn’t waste any time laying the foundation for No. 8.
Update: The Orioles scored twice in the bottom of the first, on Luke Scott’s sacrifice fly and Adam Jones’ single. Corey Patterson and Miguel Tejada opened the inning with singles and Ty Wigginton walked with one out to load the bases.
