October is three days away, which means playoff baseball isn’t far behind. As the Orioles continue an important series in Toronto, where they trail the Blue Jays by two games for the first American Leauge wild card spot and hold a one-game lead for the second wild card, the club today announced a pair of rallies to generate excitement back home in Baltimore for the team’s playoff push.
The first “Postseaon Push” rally will be held at Mother’s North Grille in Timonium on Friday, Sept. 30, from 5:30-6:30 p.m., sponsored by Budwieser, while the second rally will take place at Walmart in Towson Marketplace on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 1-2 p.m., sponsored by Coca-Cola.
The Oriole Bird and Orioles public address announcer Ryan Wagner will join former Orioles players participating at both events. Former Orioles outfielder Joe Orsulak will attend Friday’s event and former O’s pitcher Scott McGregor will attend the rally on Saturday.
At both events, the Orioles will be giving away promotional items, with fans having the opportunity to win autographed memorabilia.
You can find the current list of rally dates and locations at www.orioles.com/rallies, but the schedule may be updated with new locations, so check back regularly to be sure you know when and where you can cheer on the Orioles to the postseason!
