The Orioles are prepared to make a roster move today, since it’s been so quiet around here.
Seriously, it isn’t all about Adam Jones today.
Nothing is official, but reliever Stu Pomeranz is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Norfolk and return to the Orioles bullpen.
The Orioles optioned Pomeranz on May 13 when they purchased outfielder Xavier Avery’s contract from Norfolk. Pomeranz threw four scoreless innings over two appearances with the Orioles after having his contract purchased…The Orioles are prepared to make a roster move today, since it’s been so quiet around here.

Nothing is official, but reliever Stu Pomeranz is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Norfolk and return to the Orioles bullpen.
The Orioles optioned Pomeranz on May 13 when they purchased outfielder Xavier Avery’s contract from Norfolk. Pomeranz threw four scoreless innings over two appearances with the Orioles after having his contract purchased on May 7, allowing four hits, walking one and striking out three.
Pomeranz hasn’t surrendered a run in five appearances and 10 innings at Norfolk, allowing two hits, walking two and striking out 15. His last outing came on May 20, when he tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings against Pawtucket.
In five games at Double-A Bowie, Pomeranz gave up two unearned runs and seven hits in 13 1/3 innings, with one walk and 20 strikeouts.
Still waiting for official word and information on the corresponding 25-man roster move.
