The Orioles ended this homestand with two wins in seven games vs. Oakland and Los Angeles. They are now 30-31 at home on the year and 48-70 overall.
Nick Markakis went 2 for 4 with a double, homer and two RBI. He now has 84 RBI. Markakis extended his current hitting streak to ten games. During the streak, he is batting .378 (17 for 45) with two homers and 8 RBI. For Markakis, 21 of his last 37 hits have gone for extra bases.

Vlad man was a bad man – Vladimir Guerrero hit two homers with 5 RBI in LA’s win. He homered in back-to-back innings with a two-run shot in the 6th and three-run shot that went 416 feet in the 7th.
It’s homers 9 and 10 on the season and numbers 401 and 402 off his career. It’s Guerrero’s 38th career multi-homer game. The Angels are 28-4 in his last 32 games with a homer.
This season, Guerrero is batting .333-4-13 vs. O’s pitching and in his career is batting .347-21-68 vs. Baltimore pitching in 239 at bats.
The O’s Cesar Izturis went 3 for 4 a double tonight. He was 6 for 14 with 3 RBI in this series and is now batting .329 over his last 22 games.
Melvin Mora hit a two-run homer in the 9th inning. It was his 4th of the year and first since his game-winning homer in the 12th inning on July 11th vs. Toronto.
David Hernandez took the loss giving up five runs and seven hits over 5 1/3 innings to fall to 4-5, 4.20. Hernandez allowed three homers tonight and has given up five over his last two starts and eight over his last four.

Balt: 30 runs, 51 hits, 31 extra-base hits
The Orioles had 21 doubles, four triples and six homers in the four-game series.
