The Frederick Keys took a 1-0 lead to the eighth inning this afternoon at Potomac. Six outs from advancing to the Carolina League championship series, the Keys could not maintain the shutout.
Potomac came up with six runs in the last of the eighth to post a 6-1 victory that evens the best-of-five series at two wins and sends the clubs back to Frederick Monday night at 7 p.m in the fifth and deciding game.
The winner of that game will play Kinston in the championship series.

Right-hander Ryohei Tanaka started and pitched six innings of two-hit ball today for Frederick. The Keys only run was scored in the top of the fourth on catcher Brian Ward’s two-out, RBI single.
That held until the Nationals rally in the eighth against Justin Moore and Ashur Tolliver.
I am guessing lefty Nick Haughian, who went 8-7 with an ERA of 3.67 in the regular season, will be the Keys’ Game 5 starter Monday night. The Keys could possibly go to Jake Pettit. He would be on regular rest after starting on Wednesday against Potomac.
Potomac is expected to start Mitchell Clegg in game five. He is 4-7 with an ERA of 5.50 on the season over 27 games, 11 starts.
