Orioles executive vice president Dan Duquette will meet with reporters at 5 p.m. today to discuss the trade that brought left-hander Andrew Miller from the Red Sox for Double-A Bowie pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez.
Duquette apparently was working on another deal at the non-waiver deadline, but I’m told the Orioles are done for today.
Manager Buck Showalter said the deal wouldn’t “rattle your cage.” Must have been a fairly minor move. Anyway, it didn’t happen.

Keep in mind that more trades can go down next month. Players must pass through waivers.
Miller is expected at Camden Yards later tonight and will be in uniform for Friday night’s game against the Mariners at Camden Yards.
Miller can become a free agent after the season and may be a rental, “but we think he can impact our ability to make the playoffs and we’re willing to take that risk,” Showalter said.
Showalter said the club will stay at 12 pitchers. A reliever must be removed from the 25-man roster to create room for Miller.
Also, Chris Davis is here today and feeling much better, though he remains out of the lineup.
Ubaldo Jimenez will start Sunday or Monday night at Triple-A Norfolk.
The Orioles optioned reliever Preston Guilmet to Norfolk and reinstated left-hander T.J. McFarland.
