The Orioles have outrighted reliever Ramon Ramirez to Triple-A Norfolk after designating him for assignment on Sunday to create roster space for Kevin Gausman.
Ramirez cleared waivers after tossing eight scoreless innings with no walks and 14 strikeouts at Norfolk. He walked one and struck out two in his only inning with the Orioles.
Ramirez will return to the Tides bullpen and could make another appearance in Baltimore. The shuttle is always running.
