Ravens Designate Suggs Franchise Player

The Baltimore Ravens this afternoon designated Terrell Suggs as a franchise player for the second year in a row. By doing this, the Ravens secure Suggs’ rights for the 2009 season.
“Our plan is to sign ‘Sizzle’ to a long-term contract. We believe our history of keeping our best players for a long time speaks for itself,” general manager and executive vice president Ozzie Newsome said.
