Non-roster invitees Clay Rapada, Mark Hendrickson, David Riske, Ryan Drese, Nick Green and Pat Egan have been assigned to minor league camp. You already know that Hendrickson and Riske can seek major league jobs.
The Orioles have 30 players remaining in camp, including non-roster invitees Josh Rupe and Brendan Harris. Harris will be cut. Rupe apparently has won a job in the bullpen.
Zach Britton eventually will be optioned, bringing the total to 28.
Brian Matusz and Justin Duchscherer are heading to one of the back fields to pitch against a collection of minor leaguers. They won’t be confined to the indoor cage.
