Orioles outfielder Nolan Reimold worked with a physical therapist while the team was in Toronto and continues to do exercises for his strained right hamstring.
“I’ve been rehabbing, working out, getting kind of like active rest, strengthening and getting the flexibility back in my hammy,” said Reimold, who hasn’t played since May 11. “That’s the program for now.”

“I’ve been rehabbing, working out, getting kind of like active rest, strengthening and getting the flexibility back in my hammy,” said Reimold, who hasn’t played since May 11. “That’s the program for now.”
Reimold took his rehab to Johns Hopkins Hospital during the Orioles’ last road trip and has been working out at Camden Yards.
The timetable for Reimold’s return remains a mystery.
“I don’t really know exactly,” he said. “It’s not going to be forever. It won’t be too much longer. I know Buck (Showalter) said he wanted 100 percent. Don’t come back until it’s all cleared up, and that’s what I’m working on. Just waiting for that to happen, which hopefully isn’t too much longer.
“It’s calmed down a lot. I’ve been running up to that certain point and doing all my exercises that I’m supposed to do. The threshold went up to where I can run without feeling it, so I’ll just keep working and keep moving in that direction.”
Reimold still hasn’t attempted to run sprints.
“That’s a little bit away,” he said, “but I’ll work up to that.”
Reimold is batting .188/.257/.327 with two doubles, four homers and nine RBIs in 31 games. The hamstring has bothered him since spring training, but he tried to avoid going on the disabled list until an MRI revealed a slight tear.
“We didn’t know at the time that I had a tear up in there,” he said. “I told them I could keep fighting through it, but looking back, I think it was definitely the right move for me and the team, as well.”
