The Orioles reached agreement today with outfielder Lucas Herbst, chosen in the 26th round of the First-Year Player Draft. They’ve signed 23 of their picks.

Also, the Orioles signed undrafted free agent infielder Kris Richards from UNC-Greensboro.

Markakis update: Right fielder Nick Markakis still hasn’t been cleared to swing a bat, but he’s hoping to do so by Friday, at the latest. Markakis still believes he will be ready before the All-Star break. He’ll have to go on an injury-rehab assignment before coming off the disabled list.
