Perhaps Bergesen was placed on a strict pitch count after lasting only 2 1/3 innings in his final start for the Orioles on June 2 and making two relief appearances totaling 3 1/3 innings. That was a pretty hasty exit tonight.
Bergesen escaped a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the second inning by getting a strikeout and ground ball. The first two batters singled off him in the third, and Larish homered with one out.
