Simon threw 23 pitches, 18 for strikes. His fastball topped out at 95 mph and was mostly in the 92-93 range.

Simon also allowed a run on two hits, though the RBI double by Tyler Moore should have been ruled an error. The leadoff batter, Chris Rahl, reached on a wild pitch after striking out, but he was caught stealing after breaking too soon and getting in a rundown. We checked to make sure A.J. Pierzynski wasn’t catching for the Baysox.
