Hunter threw 37 pitches. I counted 20 pitches for Johnson, though the official total is 17. Britton threw 16.

Nick Markakis took two cuts against Johnson and lined a ball into center field.

“I’m ready,” he said, walking away from home plate.

Meanwhile, Tsuyoshi Wada will play long toss tomorrow and throw a 25-pitch bullpen session.

Also, I can confirm that the Orioles agreed to terms with 19-year-old Taiwanese left-hander Yi-hsiang Lin. Baseball America tweeted it earlier this morning.

And finally, add Dylan Bundy to the list of pitchers making the trip to Fort Myers today.

More: Hunter will throw three innings in the B game on March 11. Britton will throw two.

Britton was pleased with today’s results.

“I threw all my pitches,” he said. “Throwing strikes. Kept the ball down, which is the big thing. Spiked some changeups, but at least they were down. I was actually pretty surprised. It was good. I feel a lot more fresh, too, because I’ve kind of been on a slow progression, so getting on a mound, it felt really lively. I know I’m going to have a few more days off before I get into a game, so I think it’ll be good. I’m real happy with it.”

Britton will have a few more bullpen sessions before pitching in the B game.

“I still need to sharpen up the command of my pitches,” he said. “This is the second time I’ve thrown off-speed pitches. I still need to sharpen them before I get into an actual game.

“I feel great. In the bullpen, the adrenaline was pumping, but out there it was nice and easy.”

Hunter also was encouraged and says his back isn’t an issue.

“Everything felt really good,” he said. “After taking those four days off, I felt a lot better.”

Hunter mostly threw fastballs.

“I didn’t want to get too tricky,” he said.

“I felt pretty strong. This next bullpen is going to be pretty fun. I’ll start mixing all my pitches in and see where they are.

“I’m more worried about starting to get my location and not giving up hits to Brady Anderson.”
