With two outs in the fourth inning and first base open, the Orioles decided to walk Travis Snider intentionally and bring No. 9 hitter Jose Molina to the plate.
Not a bad plan – except David Hernandez drilled Molina to force in the tie-breaking run.

Maybe the pitch was retaliation for Blue Jays starter Dana Eveland nailing the Orioles’ No. 9 hitter, Cesar Izturis, in the bottom of the third.
Probably not.
Quick quiz: Name the teams that employ the Molina brothers. Bonus points if you can calculate their combined weights.
Update: Hernandez walked Snider intentionally in the sixth inning with a 3-0 count on the Toronto left fielder, and Molina followed with an RBI single.

Hernandez is out of the game after six innings. He allowed two runs and six hits, walked four (two intentional) and struck out five. He threw 98 pitches, 54 for strikes. That counts as a quality start, but it’s gone to waste with the Orioles being shut out on four hits.
Jason Berken replaced Hernandez.
See, you can’t mention one without the other.
