You already know that the Orioles will attempt to complete their first three-game sweep of the Red Sox in Boston since June 10-12, 1994.
Reliever Mike Oquist got the win in relief in the first game. Mike Mussina won the second game. Ben McDonald allowed three runs over eight innings to finish up the sweep. Brady Anderson went 4-for-4 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored.
McDonald and Anderson have worked in the MASN broadcast booth this season.
Coincidence?
Yes, I’m sure.

You’re really a fan if you remember that Chris Sabo played left field for the Orioles in the third game.
Kevin Millwood will try to improve upon his 3-15 record this season. He’s 4-1 with a 2.90 ERA lifetime at Fenway Park, his only loss coming July 9, 2000.
Ty Wigginton increased his RBI total to 73 last night, six short of his career high set in 2006. His 13 home runs against the Red Sox are the most vs. any opponent in his career.
The Orioles are 29-17 under Buck Showalter, who will post the first winning record by an Orioles manager since Davey Johnson in 1997 (98-64).
Props to MASN’s Kal Patel for doing the research.
