Even with how yesterday’s game ended, the Orioles’ bullpen has posted an ERA of 0.83 over the last five games, allowing just two runs over the last 21 2/3 innings.
Here is the rundown:
Tuesday at NYY: 1.1 IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 3K
Wednesday at NYY: 6IP, 4H, 0R, 2BB, 6K
Thursday vs. NYY: 6IP, 0H, 0R, 1BB, 8K
Friday at Tor: 2IP, 0H, 0R, 2BB, 0K
Saturday at Tor: 6.1IP, 2H, 2R-ER, 2BB, 5K
TOTALS: 21.2IP, 6H, 2R-ER, 7BB, 22K.

TOTALS: 21.2IP, 6H, 2R-ER, 7BB, 22K.
Until Kevin Gregg allowed two hits with two outs in the ninth on Saturday, the bullpen pitchers had not even allowed a hit since Wednesday. When Gregg got a strikeout for the second out of the last of the ninth, the Orioles’ bullpen, at that point, had pitched 14 1/3 consecutive hitless innings since Wednesday.
Several of the pitchers out of the ‘pen are throwing very well right now.
Jim Johnson has been scored on just once over his last 11 outings for an ERA of 1.59 over his past 17 innings.
Pedro Strop has not been scored on in four games and 4 1/3 since joining the team and Zach Phillips has pitched four scoreless innings over five appearances since his August 31st callup.
Chris Jakubauskas has pitched to an ERA of 2.19 since July 27. Willie Eyre has not been scored on over his last three games and 3 1/3 innings.
Troy Patton has put together four straight shutout outings, covering six innings while allowing just one hit as he has lowered his ERA on the year to 3.33.
