The Orioles have released four players from their minor league camp: Right-handed pitchers Tim Gustafson and Brad Duffy, infielder Tanner Rust and first baseman Casey Haerther.

Gustafson, Duffy and Haerther were all in their first seasons in the organization after playing independent ball in 2014. Rust was with the Orioles the past two years.

Gustafson was originally drafted in round nine out of Georgia Tech by Atlanta in 2006. Last season with Bridgeport of the Atlantic League the 30-year-old hurler went 2-5 with a 2.39 ERA in 64 innings.

The 25-year-old Duffy out of Mercyhurst (Pa.) College pitched the last three years in independent leagues. In 2014 for Lake Erie of the Frontier League, he went 2-1 with a 2.20 ERA in 41 innings.

Haerther was drafted in round five out of UCLA by the Los Angeles Angels in 2009. The 27-year-old right-handed batter played 98 games with Winnipeg of the American Association in 2014. He hit .360 with 13 homers and 72 RBIs.

The 24-year-old Rust was signed by the Orioles to a minor league deal on June 18, 2013. That season he hit .219 in 34 games with short-season Single-A Aberdeen. Last year, Rust hit .188 in 23 games with Single-A Delmarva.
