Brad Bergesen loaded the bases in the eighth and left a mess for new Oriole Jo-Jo Reyes, but the left-hander escaped the jam by getting the next two outs.
You’ll always remember where you were for that moment.
The Orioles loaded the bases in the top half of the inning, but J.J. Hardy struck out and Nick Markakis grounded out.
In case you missed it earlier, the Orioles agreed to terms with reliever Willie Eyre, 33, on a minor league contract. He has to pass a physical.
Eyre will be assigned to Triple-A Norfolk. He had an out clause with the Athletics.
Eyre was 4-5 with a 3.48 ERA in 39 games (two starts) with Triple-A Sacramento
That’s about it.
Tomorrow is a new day. I looked it up.
